Located at Couchey, in the Côtes de Nuits, Domaine Ghislain Kohut is an exciting new find. The domaine was founded by Ghislain's Polish grandfather in the 1930s and Ghislain is the third generation of growers to take care of it.
The domaine is made up of tiny parcels with clay or limestone soils, with some of the vines aged over 100 years old.
Ghislain believes in working sustainably. In keeping with his passion for conservation, he has jumped through considerable hoops to get the domaine HVE certified.
Ghislain's meticulous approach leads to pure and polished wines.
His Bourgogne Blanc is made from an ancient variety of Chardonnay - referred to locally as “muscaté” - that is around 60 years old.
The Bourgogne rouge is made from Pinot Noir parcels planted with a massal selection.
